Twitter is 80% “meformers” and 20% “informers” - Holy Kaw!
*****More news and tips about Twitter here.*****Rutgers University professors Mor Naaman and Jeffrey Boase examined 3,000 tweets and determined that 80% of Twitter users are “meformers” or people who express their feelings, thoughts, and statuses. The other 20% are “informers” who are sharing links and non-personal information. Also, informers tended to have more followers than meformers though meformers are not necessarily self-indulgent but are using their type of messages to maintain social ties. (Found via Mashable)
